It is my pleasure to announce HPC Asia 2007 in Korea.
HPC Asia is an international conference series in an Asia-Pacific region focusing on
high performance computing. It aims to share ideas on current issues and future directions in
high performance computing research and development. In addition to contributed technical papers,
HPC Asia 2007 will include keynote speeches, invited/plenary speeches, panel discussions, workshops,
poster presentations and industrial track presentations. A commercial/research exhibition will be the highlight
of HPC Asia 2007.
We believe that high performance computing technologies will set the stage for a major step forward in
all science and technology areas. Within a few years, petascale computers will be at hand.
However, the increases in computing power must be translated into corresponding increases in the
capabilities of application codes.
I hope HPC Asia 2007 will render us an opportunity to get such ideas and directions.
